Job summary

NHS Forth Valley is recruiting a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join CAMHS. You will work in a compassionate, multidisciplinary team delivering evidence-based care to children and young people and their families.

You will contribute to service development, collaborate across teams, and support wellbeing while travelling across the service area as needed. PVG membership and HCPC registration are required.

Qualifications

• HCPC registered Speech and Language Therapist.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Enjoys multidisciplinary teamwork and collaboration.
• Demonstrates clinical expertise in neurodevelopmental differences and/or SLCN.
• Commitment to person-centred, compassionate care and improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality assessment, intervention and support with evidence-based practice.
• Support assessment and management of children and young people with neurodevelopmental needs and associated mental health concerns.
• Communicate complex information clearly to families and teams for shared understanding.
• Contribute to ongoing development and improvement of CAMHS services.
