Job summary

The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled Pharmacist with leadership to coordinate medicines management across Hepatology and Liver Transplant services. You will provide clinical governance, develop policies and manage drug expenditure in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.

Applicants should hold MPharm, GPhC registration and a postgraduate qualification in pharmacy practice, with experience as a specialist clinical pharmacist and ability to produce clinical

Qualifications

• Experience as a specialist clinical pharmacist.
• Evidence of a comprehensive B6 & 7 rotations.
• Experience of managing and analysing drug expenditure.
• Evidence of leading change management and service development projects.
• Experience in education and training.
• Evidence of writing/implementing clinical guidelines and government directives.
• Experience of appraising staff and giving feedback.
• Experience of working within appropriate clinical specialties.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Good negotiation skills and ability to influence key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical governance and specialist advice across Hepatology and Liver Transplant services.
• Coordinate development of clinical documents and policies.
• Support imaging services with pharmacology input and governance.
• Develop administration proformas for prescription medicines.
• Assist in annual assessment of pharmacist requirements and service scaling.
• Prepare medicine financial reports and expenditure analysis.
