Job summary

Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust is seeking a Band 7 Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist to support children under 6 with complex needs. The role involves travel across Watford and Hemel Hempstead, office bases in Watford and Hemel, and delivering specialist OT assessments and interventions.

You will work within the CYPT Service, provide clinical supervision, and contribute to developing the Experts at Hand model. HCPC registration and driving licence are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration.
• Specialist knowledge working with CYP and families/carers with developmental, neurological and health conditions.
• Deliver OT assessments and evidence-based interventions to children in various settings.
• Provide clinical supervision to a team of health professionals.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a car for business use.

Responsibilities

• Deliver occupational therapy assessments and evidence-based interventions to children from birth to 6 years.
• Provide clinical support to a team of health professionals.
• Collaborate with health, social care, education and voluntary sector colleagues.
• Work with CYP in mainstream and specialist settings.
• Support junior colleagues and supervise peers as needed.
• Contribute to developing evidence-based clinical pathways.
