Job summary
Starion is seeking a Senior System Engineer to join our Bath team and contribute to the UK QKD programme while supporting new and prospective projects and related activities. You will collaborate with Starion teams across the UK, Belgium and Luxembourg to deliver cutting-edge space engineering solutions.
The role requires leadership of engineers, strong software and networking expertise, and a customer-focused approach in an international context.
Qualifications
- Solid technical skills with experience in complex software and networking systems.
- Ability to take technical leadership of a team of engineers.
- Capability to learn and understand complex systems.
- Good communication with clients and partners in an international environment.
- Sound knowledge of cyber security concepts and requirements.
- Occasional travel within UK and Europe.
- Desire to work autonomously or in a team in a multicultural setting.
- English written and spoken fluency.

- Managing and delivering complex software and networking systems projects.
- Leading technical teams effectively.
- Managing stakeholder relationships.
- Overseeing development and writing of proposals to support sales.
