The role |
As a senior sous chef, you will be an inspirational leader, creating a positive environment for your team and guests. You will support continuous coaching and development of your team to excel while driving restaurant performance and achieving excellent results.

- Focus on creating a positive environment where your team feels cared for and listened to, celebrating successes. Prioritize nurturing and developing talent within your team, role modeling a coaching culture within management.
- Are dedicated to ensuring an excellent guest experience, with every dish prepared to exceptional standards, either through your efforts or by equipping your team with necessary skills and mindset.
- Have experience in maintaining spotless food, health, and safety standards, and understanding the financial aspects of a kitchen, including gross profit, stock control, and labor costs, proactively spotting opportunities.
- Are committed to building a coaching culture, working with your head chef on recruitment and ongoing development, fostering personal and professional growth.
- Are a forward-thinking problem solver, capable of quick decision-making and thinking on your feet.
What we look for |
- Experience leading a kitchen team as a head chef or senior sous chef, driving performance through positive behaviors in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, with genuine conversations that ensure your team feels heard and supported.
- Experience in maintaining high standards of food, health, safety, and financial management, including GP and stock control.
- Ability to manage labor costs effectively, reacting to changing demands.
- Leadership qualities that inspire and engage your team to thrive and grow in their roles.
- Passion for creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels respected and belongs.
- A forward-thinking problem solver, able to make quick decisions.
