Senior Sous Chef | Full Time

The role |

As a Senior Sous Chef, you will be an inspirational leader, creating a positive environment for your team and guests. You will support continuous coaching and development of your team, driving restaurant performance and delivering excellent results.

Responsibilities include |

  • Creating a positive environment where your team feels cared for and listened to, celebrating successes, nurturing talent, and role-modeling a coaching culture.
  • Ensuring an exceptional guest experience by maintaining high standards in dish preparation and team skills.
  • Maintaining spotless food, health, and safety standards; understanding financial performance, including gross profit, stock control, and labor costs.
  • Building a coaching culture within your team, working with your head chef on recruitment and development, and fostering personal and professional growth.
  • Being a forward-thinking problem solver, able to make quick decisions on your feet.

  • Experience leading a kitchen team as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills with genuine, considerate conversations to support your team.
  • Experience ensuring food, health, safety standards, and understanding financial metrics like GP and stock control.
  • Ability to manage labor costs adaptively.
  • Leadership qualities that inspire and engage the team to thrive in their roles and careers.
  • Passion for creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels respected and they belong.
  • A proactive problem solver with quick decision-making skills.
