BAO London is seeking a Sous Chef for BAO Shoreditch to support the Senior Sous and Head Chef in delivering excellent food and maintaining high standards. You will lead services, manage sections, and foster a strong kitchen culture in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate brings sous chef experience, calm leadership, attention to detail, and a people-focused mindset. You will contribute to prep, stock control, and ensuring top quality across all dishes.

Qualifications

• Experience as Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in a quality-led kitchen.
• Calm, organised and confident in leading sections and services.
• A keen eye for detail and high standard of food presentation.
• People-focused mindset with ability to support and develop others.
• Strong understanding of kitchen systems, prep and service rhythm.
• Desire to grow in a supportive kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Support Head Chef with day-to-day kitchen operations.
• Lead sections and run smooth, well-paced services.
• Maintain consistency and quality across every dish.
• Support junior chefs with training, feedback and clear communication.
• Help manage prep schedules, stock control and ordering.
• Keep on top of food safety and kitchen standards.
