The role |
As a Senior Sous Chef, you will be an inspirational leader, fostering a positive environment for both your team and guests. You will support continuous coaching and development of your team to excel while driving restaurant performance and achieving excellent results.
What you will do |
- Create a caring and supportive environment, celebrating successes and nurturing talent, role modeling a coaching culture within management.
- Ensure an exceptional guest experience by maintaining high standards in dish preparation, either personally or through your team.
- Maintain spotless food, health, and safety standards; understand financial aspects such as gross profit, stock control, and labor costs; proactively spot opportunities for improvement.
- Build a coaching culture, working with the Head Chef on recruitment and ongoing development, fostering personal and professional growth.
- Be a proactive problem solver, capable of quick thinking and decision-making.
What we look for |
- Experience leading a kitchen team as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef, with a focus on performance and positive behavior in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, able to have meaningful conversations, ensuring your team feels supported.
- Experience maintaining high standards in food, health, and safety.
- Understanding of kitchen financials, including gross profit and stock control.
- Ability to manage labor costs and adapt to changing demands.
- Leadership qualities that inspire and engage your team to thrive.
- Passion for creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels respected and valued.
- A forward-thinking problem solver, quick on your feet.
