Job summary

Caravan Restaurants is seeking a Senior Sous Chef in Greater London. The role offers an annual earnings of £46,000–£50,000 and involves leading a kitchen team to deliver Caravan’s well-travelled, NZ-inspired menu with a strong focus on hospitality.

You’ll work with Head Chef to develop your team, uphold the Caravan of Love guest experience, and help drive growth as the company expands. Support for learning and career progression is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience cooking fresh ingredients and managing a kitchen.
• Ability to lead, support and inspire a team.
• Willingness to learn and develop across kitchen operations and systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage service with focus on quality and consistency.
• Support the Head Chef and develop your team to perform at a high level.
• Foster Caravan of Love customer experience and hospitality standards.
• Collaborate on menu execution and kitchen efficiency across shifts.
• Experience with Fourth, FnB and Harri systems is helpful, but training is available.

What you'll be doing as a Caravan Senior Sous Chef:

• You’ll be serving up our ‘well-travelled’ food, which is inspired by flavours from our founders’ native New Zealand, as well as their global travels.
• Support the restaurant team with our ‘Caravan of Love’ customer experience
• You will work with your Head Chef to nurture and develop your team leading them from the front in every service.
• You will be open to learning in order to develop your knowledge and skills and you’ll take ownership of your role and your kitchen.
• We work with Fourth, FnB and Harri so it would be great if you have experience with these systems, although we can always show you the ropes if you haven’t.
