Job summary

Platinum Recruitment Consultancy is seeking a Senior Sous Chef for Burgess Hill to lead the kitchen, deliver exceptional dishes, and uphold standards under the Head Chef. The role offers a total package up to £50,000 with a £45,000 base salary and £5,000 tronc.

You will develop the brigade, manage stock and gross profit, participate in seasonal menus and maintain high hygiene standards in a busy, quality restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the kitchen team during busy services
• Take responsibility for individual sections and overall food quality
• Mentor and train junior members of the brigade
• Support ordering, stock control and gross profit management
• Maintain excellent health, safety and food hygiene standards
• Step up to lead the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence
• Contribute ideas to seasonal menus and daily specials

Your new role

As Senior Sous Chef, you'll work closely with the Head Chef to lead the kitchen operation in Burgess Hill. You'll play an important part in developing the team, maintaining standards and helping the restaurant deliver consistently excellent food and service.

You will:
