Job summary

Bupa is seeking a Sourcing Team Manager to lead Buyers and Assistant Buyers in delivering sourcing, contracting and supplier due-diligence across UK markets. The role is hybrid with 2 days on-site at Salford Quays and involves strategic leadership, capacity planning and governance to maximise value.

You will manage a pipeline across category towers, drive savings, and partner with category managers and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery while maintaining procurement standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
• Desirable MCIPS qualification or studying towards it
• 5+ years sourcing experience and expertise
• Experience sourcing a wide range of Indirects including IT
• Proven ability to deliver savings and manage procurement activities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience leading cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Buyers and Assistant Buyers; set objectives and accountability
• Manage demand, capacity and delivery; monitor pipeline and contract expiries
• Ensure quality of sourcing strategies, tendering, evaluation and contracting
• Governance and risk: ensure six-step procurement process and due-diligence
• Provide training, coaching and KPI monitoring for the team
• Align sourcing delivery with category plans and business priorities
