Job Description Summary:

Job Title: Senior Sourcing Manager – M&A and Projects

Salary: £76,100pa to £106,400pa (dependent on location and experience) plus benefits

Locations: Bristol, Halifax, Leeds, London, Edinburgh, Birmingham

Hours: 35 hours, full time

Working Pattern: Hybrid, involving at least two days per week at the listed hubs

The Consumer Products Sourcing Team within Consumer, Professional Services & Special Projects (C, PS & SP) Sourcing is on an exciting journey. We are making investments in products, people, data, and technology, leading to innovative projects and new ways for our people to work, learn, and thrive.

Our Group Sourcing and Supplier Management (GS&SM) team is central to this change. You will support 3rd party activity related to the group's M&A/divestment activity, including recent acquisitions like MBNA/Embark/Tusker. This is an exciting opportunity to be a key part of the sourcing team supporting pre and post-deal activities and broader growth initiatives.

About this opportunity

You will collaborate across Group Sourcing, GCD teams, project teams, and business units involved in acquisitions/divestments. You will also lead cross-functional teams supporting key growth opportunities.

Are you an experienced sourcing leader with knowledge of mergers and acquisitions, eager to develop strategic and ambitious agendas? Are you committed to personal development and supporting the business to deliver value and improve operations?

About you

• Experience in leading sourcing processes, contract negotiations, and supplier selection to leverage economies of scale.
• Ability to build strong stakeholder partnerships and influence priorities, understanding future trends.
• Knowledge of third-party implications within an M&A environment.
• Skilled in third-party due diligence, data analysis, and preparing proposals for senior stakeholders.
• Experience in identifying best practices and adapting to changing business environments to secure value.
• Expertise in contractual terms and risk mitigation.
• Ability to report on financial benefits, risks, and opportunities.
• Drive the vision and principles of Group Sourcing and Supplier Management.
