Job summary

The Royal Ballet and Opera seeks a Senior Technician with a sound and video bias to administer, service and maintain systems and infrastructure in our Covent Garden base. You will manage communications networks and show relays, ensuring operations run safely and efficiently.

The role requires strong communication, the ability to work independently, and a willingness to train others while sharing knowledge across the department. Prior experience with theatre tech is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of current sound and video equipment and systems used in the entertainment industry.
• Experience of maintenance and accurate record keeping.
• Proficient user of software pertinent to the role.

Responsibilities

• Administration, servicing and maintenance of sound and video systems and infrastructure.
• Manage building-wide 2-way radio comms, production-based comms, paging, MATV and audio/video show relay.
• Ensure department activities are scheduled and carried out efficiently and safely.
• Contribute to long-term planning for development of technical systems.
