Senior Sonographer Job Description

We're looking for a Senior Sonographer to join our experienced Sonography team at The Birth Company in Alderley Edge, Cheshire. Originally founded over 50 years ago by Dr. Thomas Frist, HCA has gone on to become one of the world's leading healthcare providers. As a Senior Sonographer at The Birth Company, you'll be responsible for:

  1. Ensuring that the sonography examination results meet the clinic standard for quality assurance before findings are released for interpretation.
  2. Functioning as a technical or clinical leader/expert in sonography.
  3. Being accountable for the creation, oversight, and implementation of scanning protocols and quality control activities.
  4. Providing technical, image quality, and accuracy oversight for the assessment of sonography examinations.
  5. Ensuring that appropriate accreditation is secured and maintained.
  6. Carrying out quality assurance protocols and quality improvement measures.
  7. Pursuing and maintaining cutting-edge technical and clinical updates.
  8. Establishing and maintaining collaborative working relationships with co-workers, administrators, and other members of the external health care providers.
  9. Serving as the representative and advocate with other internal or external health care providers.
  10. Supporting the need to provide a professional service to our customers.
  11. Being responsible for the day-to-day operation of sonography services within the clinic.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Advanced Sonographer Certification desirable.
  2. Sonography experience in the UK.
  3. Experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology ultrasound.
