Job summary

Currys in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to shape, deliver, and evolve technology solutions across a portfolio of business critical initiatives. You will own solution architecture design, partner with delivery teams, and ensure cost effective, scalable architectures aligned to standards.

You will lead major programmes, mentor other architects, and collaborate with Omnichannel, Commercial, Finance, IT, and Analytics teams across the UK and overseas to translate

Qualifications

• 5+ years in an IT architecture role with solution design responsibility.
• Experience across networks, data, applications, systems and integrations.
• Experience in API-first environments.
• Understanding of Azure cloud hosting.
• Fast paced IT delivery environment with SDLC knowledge (Agile & Waterfall).
• Excellent written, verbal and visual communication skills.
• Retail or e-commerce experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead creation, analysis, and review of solution architectures across a portfolio of projects.
• Own end-to-end design of solutions aligning business requirements with technical needs.
• Define system components, services, technologies, and designs across architecture domains.
• Provide architectural leadership to delivery teams and partners.
• Maintain architecture repository and ensure artefact quality and completeness.
• Support cross-team collaboration and drive innovative delivery approaches.
