Rowden Technologies Ltd. is building the UK's next generation engineering powerhouse with critical technology for national security and resilience.

We are expanding and seeking multiple Solution Architects to provide technical leadership across complex bids and pre‑sales engagements. You will translate ambiguous customer problems into credible, deliverable engineering approaches, and offer client‑side architectural oversight while ensuring alignment with security and governance requirements.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience as a Senior Solution Architect or equivalent in complex, multi‑stakeholder environments (Essential).
• Broad technical understanding across systems architecture, hosting, integration, networking, and service design (Essential).
• Proven ability to engage externally with customers, partners, or programme stakeholders with clarity and confidence (Essential).
• Experience shaping viable technical and delivery approaches that can be costed, planned, and delivered (Essential).
• Experience identifying and managing technical risks across the solution and programme lifecycle (Essential).
• Strong communication skills to articulate complex technical ideas to engineers, commercial teams, and senior stakeholders (Essential).
• Eligibility for SC clearance (Essential).

Responsibilities

• Shape credible technical and delivery solutions for major bids and pre‑sales opportunities, translating complex customer problems into actionable engineering approaches.
• Provide senior architectural oversight and assurance of solution designs, and hold delivery partners to account for decisions.
• Engage confidently with customers, partners, and senior stakeholders, providing clear technical direction and representing Rowden's technical authority externally.
• Produce high‑quality technical content for bids, proposals, white papers, and presentations.
• Translate user requirements into architectural solutions balancing performance, risk, and delivery constraints.
• Assess hosting, integration, and platform options, understanding constraints and trade‑offs across complex environments.
• Identify, assess, and manage technical risks, ensuring they are understood and mitigated.
• Collaborate with technical SMEs and principal engineers to maintain coherence and delivery approach.
• Support early contract mobilisation and translate bid‑stage intent into executable plans.
• Help develop governance frameworks, standards, and assurance artefacts for repeatable delivery.
