Job summary

HAB Law is a growing firm specialising in Family Law and Children’s matters. They seek a Supervising Solicitor to lead the Children’s team and deliver strategic oversight of complex private and Legal Aid-funded cases.

The role involves supervision, advocacy in court, and ensuring compliance with Legal Aid Agency requirements. Hybrid working, strong development opportunities, and a collaborative culture are offered.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with substantial Children Law experience.
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior legal staff.
• Excellent leadership, organisation and case-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of solicitors, trainees and paralegals in the Children’s Department.
• Manage a complex caseload including private children matters and domestic abuse.
• Provide strategic oversight and guidance on complex cases.
• Advocate in court and attend client conferences with clear case strategy.
• Oversee Legal Aid applications, CCMS billing, and file reviews.
• Ensure high standards of client care and compliance with regulatory requirements.
