Job summary

Telford & Wrekin Council is seeking a Senior Solicitor for the Children’s Safeguarding team in Telford. This 2-year fixed-term contract offers 37 hours per week and a hybrid working pattern with two in-office days (Weds/Thu). Applicants must be qualified solicitors with UK practicing rights.

This is a 2 year fixed term contract.

The Lexcel-accredited Legal Team provides legal advice, assistance and support to Council officers, elected members and external clients at all levels. With a supportive and positive working culture, Telford & Wrekin Council can offer you this exciting opportunity for a one year fixed term contract, to protect some of our most vulnerable residents.

The Safeguarding team has a hybrid working pattern, with an expectation of two days based in the office in Telford. Currently these days are Wednesdays and Thursdays. Applicants are required to be qualified as solicitors with a valid practicing certificate.
