Job summary

MJ Quinn is seeking a Site Supervisor to oversee daily on-site operations for ground-mounted solar PV projects across the UK. You will supervise subcontractors, monitor safety, and report progress under the Project Manager, ensuring compliance with HSQE standards and technical specifications.

The role requires 3–5 years’ site supervision experience in renewable energy, with SMSTS and First Aid qualifications; IOSH/NEBOSH desirable. Strong leadership and on-site decision-making are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in site supervision, preferably in renewable energy or large-scale solar PV projects.
• Ground Mount Solar Farm experience essential
• Proven ability to manage subcontractors and enforce safety standards.
• SMSTS certification essential; First Aid qualification required.
• IOSH or NEBOSH certification desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong understanding of UK construction and renewable energy regulations.

Responsibilities

• HSQE standards and deliver toolbox talks.
• Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and company safety policies.
• Investigate incidents, prepare reports, and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare daily and weekly progress reports for the Project Manager.
• Highlight risks, delays, and issues promptly.
• Act as the on-site point of contact for subcontractors and suppliers.
• Support client visits and provide updates on site progress.
• Monitor workmanship and ensure installations meet technical specifications and regulatory standards.
• Assist with snagging and quality checks prior to project completion.
