Job summary

Pertemps Bond is seeking an experienced Electrical Contracts Manager to lead solar PV projects across the UK. You will manage pre-construction through to handover, ensuring safety, delivery on time and within budget while maintaining client relationships.

Ideal candidates will have proven renewable energy project delivery, BS7671 knowledge, and strong commercial and leadership skills to coordinate site teams and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Electrical Contracts Manager in renewable energy or construction.
• Strong Solar PV project delivery experience.
• Electrical qualifications (NVQ3/HNC/HND/Degree).
• Knowledge of BS7671 wiring regulations.
• Understanding of CDM and Health & Safety legislation.
• Experience managing subcontractors and direct labour.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong commercial awareness and budget management.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple Solar PV projects from award through commissioning and handover.
• Oversee project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and delivery.
• Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and client stakeholders.
• Ensure all projects comply with electrical regulations, industry standards, and HSE requirements.
• Monitor project budgets, costs, and commercial performance.
• Conduct regular site visits and progress meetings.
• Support procurement activities and materials management.
• Produce and review project documentation, risk assessments, and method statements.
• Manage project variations and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Maintain strong client relationships and identify opportunities for future work.
