Job Description

This role involves working with a well-established team on enhancements to Intelerad’s client-facing applications used by clinicians and radiologists across the UK for reading and reporting medical images. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will lead in designing new features, defining technical directions, and mentoring team members.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of the InSight PACS Viewer application.
• Develop software following the SDLC process.
• Participate in design and code reviews.
• Help define the technical architecture.
• Promote the use of automated testing tools.
• Mentor team members.
• Manage project deliverables.
• Maintain code, fix bugs, and collaborate with QA.
• Work with application specialists on feature behaviors.
• Coordinate with other teams for feature implementation and support.
• Stay updated with industry developments and share knowledge.
• Perform other duties as necessary.

Qualifications

Skills and Experience

Required:

• Expertise in Windows development with C# and WPF or similar XAML technology (8+ years).
• Understanding of Design Patterns and SOLID principles.
• Experience with TDD/Unit Testing (NUnit, JustMock, FluentAssertions).
• Ability to interpret technical information and communicate clearly in writing.

Additional Competencies

• C++, including C++/CLI.
• Web development experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, SCSS, React, WebPack.
• SQL experience, preferably with PostgreSQL or Sybase.
• Knowledge of DICOM and HL7 standards.
• Degree in Computer Science or similar.
• Chartered Engineer or Chartered IT Professional (BCS).
