Job Description

Purpose

You will join an established team working on enhancements to Intelerad’s client-facing applications used across the UK by clinicians and radiologists for reading and reporting medical images. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will bring extensive experience, lead in designing new features, and help define the long-term technical direction of the products.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Lead development of the InSight PACS Viewer application.
2. Develop software following the Intelerad SDLC process.
3. Participate in design and code reviews.
4. Help define the technical architecture.
5. Champion automated testing and validation tools.
6. Mentor team members.
7. Manage deliverables per project plans.
8. Assist in code maintenance, bug fixes, and quality assurance roles.
9. Collaborate with application specialists on feature behavior.
10. Coordinate with other teams for feature implementation and support queries.
11. Stay updated on industry developments, share knowledge, and promote growth.
12. Perform other duties as necessary.

Skills and Experience

Required

• Expertise in Windows development using C# and WPF or other XAML-based technologies (8+ years).
• Strong understanding of Design Patterns and SOLID principles.
• Experience with TDD/Unit Testing using NUnit, JustMock, FluentAssertions.
• Ability to interpret technical information clearly.
• Excellent technical writing skills.

Additional Competencies

• Proficiency in C++, including C++/CLI.
• Experience developing web applications with JavaScript/TypeScript, SCSS, React, WebPack.
• Knowledge of SQL, preferably PostgreSQL or Sybase.
• Familiarity with DICOM and HL7 standards.
• Degree in Computer Science or similar; BSc/BEng or higher.
• Chartered Engineer or Chartered IT Professional (BCS).
