Senior Software Engineer – UK - Client Applications, England, United Kingdom

This role involves working on enhancements to Intelerad’s client-facing applications used by clinicians and radiologists across the UK for reading and reporting medical images. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will lead design efforts, develop new features, and influence the technical direction of the products.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of the InSight PACS Viewer application
• Develop software following the SDLC process
• Participate in design and code reviews
• Define technical architecture
• Promote automated testing and validation
• Mentor team members
• Manage deliverables per project plans
• Contribute to code maintenance, bug fixes, and quality assurance
• Collaborate with application specialists and other teams
• Stay updated with industry developments
• Perform other duties as necessary

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

• Expertise in Windows development using C# and WPF/XAML (8+ years)
• Understanding of Design Patterns and SOLID principles
• Experience with TDD/Unit Testing (NUnit, JustMock, FluentAssertions)
• Ability to interpret technical information and communicate clearly

Additional Competencies

• Knowledge of C++, C++/CLI
• Web development skills with JavaScript/TypeScript, React, WebPack
• SQL experience with PostgreSQL or Sybase
• Familiarity with DICOM and HL7 standards
• Degree in Computer Science or similar
• Chartered Engineer or Chartered IT Professional (BCS)
