Job Description

Purpose

You will join a well-established team working on enhancements to Intelerad’s client-facing applications used by clinicians and radiologists across the UK for reading and reporting medical images. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will bring extensive experience, lead in designing new features, and help define the long-term technical direction.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Lead development of the InSight PACS Viewer application
2. Develop software following the SDLC process
3. Participate in design and code reviews
4. Help define the technical architecture
5. Promote the use of automated testing tools
6. Mentor team members
7. Manage deliverables according to project plans
8. Contribute to code maintenance, bug fixes, and quality assurance
9. Collaborate with application specialists on feature behavior
10. Coordinate with other teams for feature implementation and support
11. Stay current with industry developments and share knowledge
12. Perform other duties as necessary

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

• Expertise in Windows development using C# and WPF or XAML-based technologies (8+ years)
• Strong understanding of Design Patterns and SOLID principles
• Experience with TDD/Unit Testing (NUnit, JustMock, FluentAssertions)
• Ability to interpret technical information
• Clear technical communication skills

Additional Competencies

• Experience with C++, C++/CLI
• Web development experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, React, WebPack
• Knowledge of SQL, PostgreSQL or Sybase
• Familiarity with DICOM and HL7 standards
• BSc/BEng or higher in Computer Science or related field
• Chartered Engineer or Chartered IT Professional (BCS)
