Job summary

You will collaborate with Product Management and architects, act as the technical escalation point, and mentor engineers to raise delivery maturity and security. On-site location in Milton Park, Abingdon, UK.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/SE or related field.
• 10+ years of software development experience with leadership.
• Architecture ownership of complex systems and multiple releases.

Responsibilities

• Shape the technical direction of the products and platforms you own across near-term and long-term planning horizons.
• Scope major technical work: estimate effort, identify risks, and define the delivery approach.
• Design and build new applications and major enhancements in partnership with Product Management and architects.
• Serve as the technical authority for your area of the application or architecture.
• Evaluate architecture for performance, scalability and security weaknesses and drive fixes.
• Mentor engineers and drive best practices through code reviews and guidance.
