Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science/Software Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in at least one major language (Java, C#/F#, C++, Python, or TypeScript) with production software delivery.
• Experience designing and owning architecture of complex software systems across releases.
• Track record of technical leadership across teams or product areas.
• Excellent communication to explain trade-offs to product managers and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Shape the technical direction of the products and platforms you own across near-term and long-term planning horizons.
• Scope major technical work: estimate effort, identify risks, and define the delivery approach.
• Design and build new applications and major enhancements with Product Management and architects.
• Serve as the technical authority for your area: provide decision-making and guidance.
• Evaluate architecture for performance, scalability, and security weaknesses and drive fixes.
• Lead design and code reviews focused on long-term quality and maintainability.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and technical guidance.
• Stay current on tools and technologies and drive adoption where they add value.
• Own security for your area: set coding standards and drive fixes to completion.
