Job summary

Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions, Inc. seeks a Senior Software Engineer, Team Leader, to guide a cross‑functional team in Dudley, delivering production‑grade software across frontend, backend, and cloud infrastructure.

You will shape architectural choices, mentor engineers, and drive AI‑augmented development with modern CI/CD practices. The role emphasizes initiative, autonomy, and collaboration with the CTO, as you translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent practical experience)
• 8+ years of professional software development experience (10+ years preferred)
• Experience in people management in a similar office/software environment
• Demonstrated experience leading technical efforts - designing systems and driving projects to completion
• Production use of generative AI to deliver real work products in production today
• Track record of increasing scope and ownership over your career

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of full-stack applications, owning technical direction from architecture through production deployment
• Drive technical decisions and trade-offs, communicating rationale clearly to peers and non-technical stakeholders
• Leverage generative AI tools to accelerate development and build AI-powered features
• Architect and implement cloud-native systems with containerization and IaC
• Identify and resolve technical risks and bottlenecks proactively
• Collaborate across business units to translate needs into technical solutions
• Mentor engineers and establish engineering best practices
• Rapidly learn unfamiliar codebases and tech stacks
• Troubleshoot complex full-stack issues across frontend, backend and cloud infrastructure
• Report progress and plans to CTO; complete people management tasks
