Job summary

Prolific is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Engineering team. You will contribute to web applications using TypeScript/JavaScript and Python, working across front-end and back-end in a product-driven environment.

You’ll collaborate in a cross-functional team, own parts of the product, and help deploy on AWS/GCP/Azure with robust observability and test automation. The role emphasizes continuous improvement and customer value.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of modern web applications.
• Experience building TypeScript/JavaScript applications and using NoSQL databases.
• Experience using Python and event-driven architecture concepts.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, and Azure.
• Familiarity with test automation and observability practices in a full-stack environment.
• Experience with production applications and strong engineering practices.
• Customer value focus and product-minded thinking.

Responsibilities

• Work in a cross-functional, stream-aligned team with engineering manager, product manager, designer, and 4–5 engineers.
• Plan, build and support software that customers love using agile practices.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to understand needs and drive value.
• Own production systems with monitoring tools (DataDog) and high observability.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous learning and engineering excellence.
