Job summary
Prolific is seeking a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to own and evolve our cloud foundation. You will keep Kubernetes clusters scalable and reliable in GKE, implement automation, and champion best practices across Prolific.
You’ll work with GCP, Terraform, and GitOps tools to empower developers while maintaining security and compliance. This role includes on-call responsibilities and collaboration with internal teams.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience administering and optimising large-scale Kubernetes clusters.
- Strong experience with Kubernetes tooling (Helm, kustomize) and GitOps (ArgoCD).
- Proven experience with Google Cloud Platform services and architecture (GKE).
- Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and automation.
- Strong programming skills in Python and/or TypeScript.
- Experience creating developer-focused documentation and self-service solutions.
Responsibilities
- Manage and optimise Kubernetes clusters in GKE through Terraform.
- Support compliance with SOC2, ISO-27001, and Cyber Essentials in cloud environments.
- Design and implement golden paths and automation to enable self-serve while reducing complexity.
- Create and maintain infrastructure solutions for safe, easy deployment.
- Serve as technical point-of-contact for GCP and Kubernetes queries.
- Be part of the on-call rota.
