Job summary

CloudMargin in London is seeking a Senior Engineer to join a fast-growing fintech team. You will help make the platform faster, more stable and more resilient, working across the full stack and collaborating with senior stakeholders.

You will own backend services in TypeScript/Node.js, operate in AWS, and apply observability with Datadog to reduce complexity and latency. You’ll contribute to platform-wide upgrades and strategic initiatives with the team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production backend experience with TypeScript/Node.js.
• Hands-on AWS, containers, serverless, and CI/CD.
• Strong production debugging and observability with Datadog.
• Frontend experience and willingness to contribute when needed.
• Ability to collaborate across product delivery and platform teams.

Responsibilities

• Deliver major improvement projects, from investigation to rollout, across services and databases.
• Fix systemic stability and performance problems using tracing, metrics and logs.
• Own critical shared services like authentication and data access control.
• Keep older platform areas healthy with steady fixes and improvements.
• Be the go-to expert for production issues and participate in on-call duties.
• Collaborate with product and platform teams to drive architectural and operational improvements.
