Job summary

TP ICAP Group is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Belfast to deliver business-critical software for the broking division. You will design, implement and support scalable, real-time systems in a cross-functional, Agile setting, with strong emphasis on automation and CI/CD.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer in a delivery-focused environment.
• Strong expertise in .NET (C#) across modern Frameworks and Core.
• Proven experience with distributed, real-time systems and scalable components.
• Relational databases design and optimisation (e.g. MS SQL Server, MySQL).
• WPF application development experience.
• Hands-on with event-driven and asynchronous messaging architectures.
• Cloud platforms experience (AWS) including deployment of services.
• Strong CI/CD, version control, and package management practices.
• Familiarity with Agile methods and cross-geo collaboration.
• Awareness of AI capabilities and responsible use within governance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Architects to design and deliver solutions aligned with IT strategy.
• Own design and delivery of key features with quality and timeliness.
• Partner with QA to ensure robust testing and high-quality releases.
• Champion engineering best practices including code reviews and tests.
• Leverage AI-enabled tools to enhance productivity and quality within governance constraints.
• Contribute to technology selection and methodology improvements.
• Design solutions meeting performance, scalability, and resilience goals.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster a collaborative team environment.
• Communicate progress, risks, and dependencies early to minimise delivery impact.
