Job summary

Recycleye is seeking a software engineer to join our small, focused team building the control software for our waste-separation systems. You’ll work across the stack—from low-latency Go services to Python data pipelines and web dashboards.

Own features end-to-end, from kernel performance to operator interfaces, with tight deadlines and varied, hands-on work. Occasional UK site visits to industrial facilities are expected, and you’ll collaborate closely with hardware teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years commercial software engineering experience.
• Experience taking your work from design through to production with minimal oversight.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and tackle varied problems.
• Strong Linux fundamentals and command-line proficiency.
• Experience with Go, Python, or real-time/latency-sensitive systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop low-latency Go services for real-time control.
• Build and optimize GStreamer video pipelines.
• Develop Python data processing and APIs for the web dashboard.
• Maintain Azure infrastructure, VMs, containers and monitoring.
• Manage Linux edge devices, systemd, networking and remote access.
• Hands-on work with conveyors and industrial hardware when needed.
• Build graphical interfaces for the industrial touchscreen HMI.
