Job summary

Catapult Group in London is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help build the Perch camera system. Based in London with a hybrid work model, you will work across platform, perception, and ML systems to improve data collection and analysis at scale.

You will write Python and C++ for devices and services used by customers daily, shipping reliable software and contributing to production ML and computer vision projects.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software engineering in production systems.
• Strong Python and backend engineering skills.
• C++ or performance-critical code experience.
• Experience with data-intensive/distributed systems.
• Exposure to ML/vision/signal processing and real-time systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement algorithms for 3D object tracking, segmentation, and motion recognition on embedded hardware.
• Train and iterate ML models from data collection through deployment to edge devices.
• Bring ML/vision/signal-processing systems into production with tight performance constraints.
• Build reliable features and services used by customers in real environments.
• Analyze production data to find limits and issues; drive improvements.
• Collaborate with embedded platform and applications teams on optimization and feature usage.
