Job summary

M&S seeks a Senior Software Engineer to advance the Order Management platform that powers checkout to delivery. You will design and build scalable backend services, own end-to-end features, and drive reliability and security in a complex ecommerce environment.

You will collaborate with product and fulfilment teams to deliver fast, resilient systems and modern, observable architectures, using Dynatrace for monitoring and alerting.

Qualifications

• Senior software engineer with deep backend experience delivering reliable, scalable systems in complex enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of IBM Sterling Order Management and large-scale ecommerce fulfilment challenges.
• Java-focused design and development of enterprise services, APIs, and integrations.
• Experience with CI/CD, observability, and production support for reliable ops.
• Designing resilient, recoverable, observable systems with strong maintainability.
• Collaborative, cross-disciplinary approach to raising standards and enabling teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and evolve order management capabilities across checkout, fulfilment, returns, amendments, and cancellations.
• Own features end-to-end including design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Shape technical direction of the Order Management platform, improving architecture and integration patterns.
• Drive operational excellence with observability, monitoring, resilience, and supportability at the core.
• Use tools like Dynatrace to improve platform visibility, monitoring, and alerting.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineering teams, and Fulfilment stakeholders to accelerate delivery outcomes.
