Thales is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Maritime Mission Systems based in Manchester. You will design, implement and test software solutions for state-of-the-art sonar and mission systems, collaborating with UK and international teams.

Essential skills include Java/C++ development in Linux, experience with Agile methods, and ability to derive and manage SW requirements. Strong communication and teamwork are required to succeed in a fast-paced defence environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with Agile software development lifecycles.
• Ability to derive and manage SW requirements.
• Ability to design a SW solution meeting operational needs.
• Demonstrable SW development skills in Java/C++ on Linux.
• Familiar with IDEs, unit tests and static analysis tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Support SW integration activities and resolve bugs identified during verification.
