What you’ll be doing

As a Senior Software Engineer at Deliveroo, your individual work will contribute to achieving goals across multiple teams. You will work with your team and lead projects, with some of your work impacting areas beyond your direct remit.

Technical Execution:

You will work on improving code structure and architecture, reviewing code of any size or scope produced by your team. Your work will include maximizing team efficiency through project planning, anticipating dependencies and risks, and collaborating with disciplines such as Product Management and Experience teams.

You will strive to simplify the maintenance and operation of production systems, championing visibility, operational readiness, and health of your team’s systems.

Additionally, you will build relationships with other engineering teams, identify collaboration opportunities, and guide design and implementation choices, influencing the team’s roadmap.

You will actively participate in hiring processes and engineering interviews, and support the growth of your colleagues by encouraging efficiency and development within the team.

We do not expect you to have all of the experience listed below, but it would be beneficial if you have some:

• Take pride in writing readable, well-designed, well-tested software
• 5+ years of experience in iOS application development
• Proficiency in Swift and/or Objective-C
• Experience scaling iOS architecture
• 5+ years using iOS development tools like Xcode
• Experience working in cross-functional teams for 5+ years
• Experience with UIKit and AutoLayout for 5+ years
