RELX International is seeking a Senior Software Engineer I (Java & Python) to help build Document Intelligence capabilities for Elsevier's Submission products. You will transform complex manuscripts into structured data using AI/LLM techniques and contribute across architecture, deployment, and content enrichment.

Formación

• Proficiency across Python, Java, Spring Boot and SQL with willingness to learn others.
• Experience with distributed/event-driven solutions using Kafka and AWS.
• Experience with build tools, Git, and CI (GitHub Actions/Jenkins).
• Collaborative teamwork and mentoring capabilities.
• Experience with monitoring/logging tools (New Relic/OpenSearch/Kibana).
• Familiarity with IDEs (IntelliJ/VSCode) and refactoring tools.
• Knowledge of cloud-native design (Docker, Kubernetes) and AI coding tools.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and deploy cloud-hosted distributed applications for next-gen products.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements in a fast-moving environment.
• Contribute to architecture decisions for stability and performance.
• Implement enhancements to improve delivery processes.
• Partner with Agile/DevOps teams across the lifecycle of services.
• Own services from architecture to observability and ongoing improvement.
