Job summary

Wise is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Global KYC and Onboarding squad in the Servicing department. You will own end-to-end verification journeys, design scalable backend systems, and deliver APIs to support personal and business onboarding across 160+ countries.

With 4+ years of Java 8+ and Spring experience, you will drive technical roadmaps, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure compliance, reliability, and performance.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience with Java 8+ and Spring.
• Experience with asynchronous messaging such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Architected and built highly scalable microservices.
• Strong product mindset and regulatory compliance awareness.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end verification journeys and APIs for KYC/onboarding.
• Lead the technical roadmap for your areas of ownership.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers and other engineers.
• Drive reliability, security and performance improvements.
• Mentor engineers and promote coding best practices.
