Clear Street is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to design and build a new EMS platform for futures and options. You will work on a high-performance system combining real-time market data, low-latency connectivity, and robust trading capabilities with a responsive web interface.

You will collaborate with product, traders, designers, and backend teams to implement scalable components, ensure performance and accessibility, and uphold engineering standards while maintaining a strong SLA.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with Java.
• 4+ years with modern technologies at senior level.
• Experience building high-performance EMS platforms preferred.
• Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams.

The Role

As a Senior Software Engineer on Clear Street's futures and options execution services team, you'll play a key role in designing and building the next generation of our Clear Street futures and options EMS platform from the ground up. You'll develop a high-performance platform that brings together real-time market data, low latency exchange connectivity and execution, robust risk controls, and advanced trading capabilities within a fast, responsive web interface. Working closely with cross-functional partners, you'll contribute to large-scale, high impact initiatives that enhance our prime brokerage offering and help shape the future of the Clear Street trading experience.

What We're Looking For

8+ years of professional software engineering experience using Java.

At least 4 years of experience working with modern technologies, including a proven track record operating at Senior Engineer level.
