Job summary

McLaren Racing's Software & Data Science team is seeking a Senior Specialist Software Engineer to deliver high-quality software solutions for our Formula 1 operation. The role is primarily based at the McLaren Technology Centre with a blend of onsite and remote working, and occasional out-of-hours support.

You will lead the full software development lifecycle across multiple projects, provide technical guidance, and mentor engineers while collaborating with stakeholders to translate business

Qualifications

• Extensive experience delivering full-stack software using C#/.NET with Python and TypeScript familiarity.
• Solid understanding of SOLID, OO design, and scalable architectures.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and modern DevOps practices.
• Ability to analyse complex problems and guide engineering decisions.
• Ability to mentor engineers and work autonomously with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lead full software development lifecycle from analysis to deployment.
