Job summary

Oxbow Talent is representing a growing Northern Ireland technology company seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Belfast. The role offers ownership of features across backend, frontend and cloud, with influence on architectural decisions and engineering practices.

You will contribute to the evolution of a scalable SaaS platform, support ongoing product growth and participate in future hiring within a small, collaborative team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial software engineering experience.
• Experience building production APIs and working with relational databases.
• Experience with AWS or another major cloud platform.
• Good understanding of CI/CD, testing and modern software development practices.
• Comfortable taking ownership and working independently within a small engineering team.
• Experience with React or a similar frontend framework.
• Experience building and scaling SaaS platforms or other complex software products.

Responsibilities

• Taking ownership of features from initial design through to deployment and ongoing improvement.
• Building and maintaining scalable backend services, APIs and frontend applications.
• Working with external APIs and third-party integrations.
• Contributing to cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines and engineering best practices.
• Making architectural and technical decisions alongside the wider team.
• Helping improve development processes, code quality and system reliability.
