Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant software development experience.
• Proficiency in modern C++ for embedded or firmware codebases.
• Strong Python experience for tooling and data processing.
• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks or JS runtimes.
• Knowledge of memory management, threading, concurrency, and debugging.
• Experience improving CI pipelines and quality gates.
• Familiarity with logging, telemetry, and data quality improvements.
• Ability to design pragmatic internal tools and APIs.
• Strong communication and cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain tools to improve the quality and consistency of Roku OS logging data.
• Create Python-based automation to extract, analyze, and validate log usage across large codebases.
• Develop offline pipelines for processing logs to support pre-merge validation and automated data contract generation.
• Write and review C++ changes in embedded codebases to ensure accurate and reliable logging.
• Collaborate with system architects to extend UI framework features and improve system stability and performance.
• Use agentic coding to accelerate feature development and testing.
• Partner with UI infrastructure, firmware, and CI teams to integrate tooling into developer workflows.
• Troubleshoot issues across pipelines and instrumentation, balancing scalability with maintainability.
• Develop tools that support the larger development community within Roku.
