Unity, Brighton, seeks a Senior Embedded Software Developer to bring the Real Time 3D runtime to embedded platforms such as Embedded Linux, QNX and Android Automotive OS. You will develop new features and integrations addressing automotive HMI needs across multi-screen cockpits and touch interfaces.

You will join a small, senior team with impact on production vehicles, optimize performance on constrained SoCs, and partner with automotive OEMs as a technical lead guiding cross-platform

Qualifications

• Proficiency in C/C++/C# and building scalable feature sets in a large multithreaded codebase.
• Experience developing for Embedded Linux, QNX and hypervised environments.
• Hands-on AAOS or AOSP development on the Android platform layer and integration into the Android lifecycle.
• Experience with Vulkan/OpenGL ES and Real Time 3D UI rendering.
• Performance profiling and optimization on resource-constrained hardware.

Responsibilities

• Bring Unity's Real Time 3D runtime to embedded platforms (Embedded Linux, QNX, Android Automotive OS) with new features and integrations.
• Integrate Unity into native Android apps and build the graphics/windowing layer for multi-screen, multi-touch HMIs.
• Profile and optimize runtime performance, memory, startup/load time on constrained SoCs.
• Collaborate with automotive OEMs as a technical contact, identify bottlenecks and enable production success.
• Drive engineering excellence through design discussions, code reviews and automated testing.
