Job summary

Alpaca is seeking a hands-on software engineer with deep knowledge of Corporate Actions and Security Master systems. You will design and operate distributed services across U.S. and international markets, ingesting data from vendors and custodians, and building auditable workflows for validation and reconciliation.

You should understand entitlements, elections, and related cash/position changes, and have strong Go and system-design skills to support a global brokerage platform.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience building complex production systems.
• Hands-on with Corporate Actions, Security Master, or securities-processing in broker-dealer or financial data environments.
• Strong knowledge of dividend events, elections, entitlements, and reconciliation.

Responsibilities

• Design systems for Corporate Actions, Security Master, and lifecycle processing.
• Ingest, normalize, enhance, and cross-verify data from vendors and custodians.
• Build auditable workflows for validation, approvals, processing, and reconciliation.
• Write and operate production code with cross-team collaboration.
