Job summary

Wise London is hiring aSenior Software Engineer to join our Send Core team. You will build the critical infrastructure for money transfers, from small personal payments to large business transactions, and contribute to customer-facing products shaping the send journey.

We value collaboration and a product-minded approach. You will work primarily on backend, with a 20% frontend focus, in a fast-paced global tech environment.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in building complex high-reliability systems.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and simply.
• Strong computer science fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Shape our products: Collaborate with product, design, and data teams to deliver best experience for our customers.
• Control critical infrastructure: Own the systems that every sending transaction depends on across the entire platform.
• Drive technical excellence: Make architectural decisions for the core send components, making them reliable and performant.
• Drive backend and frontend for our products: You will be working 80% of the time on a backend and 20% on the frontend.
• Curiosity to explore ways to improve our products and your day-to-day work.
