Darktrace Ltd in Cambridge is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead and contribute across a broad range of initiatives using a modern tech stack. The role combines hands-on development with design and mentoring in a hybrid setup, requiring attendance in the Cambridge office two days per week.

You will build and maintain the macOS codebase in C++ and Swift, collaborate with cross-functional teams, review code, write tests, and advance our cybersecurity platform.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in modern C++
• Experience with Swift or eagerness to deepen
• Knowledgeable in Unix/macOS development environments
• Familiar with Docker and cloud computing environments
• Autonomous, collaborative, and analytical mindset
• Interest in cybersecurity and malware forensics

Responsabilités

• Build, design, and maintain the macOS codebase using modern C++ and Swift
• Lead and contribute to projects ranging from rapid prototyping to structured development
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions
• Participate in code reviews to ensure engineering excellence
• Write and maintain tests, documentation, and developer enablement materials
• Develop and mentor team members across multiple languages
