Job summary

Royal London is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join one of our application delivery teams in the Digital space. The role focuses on modern software engineering using Angular and C#/.NET with Azure-based development, designing, building and operating customer-facing and internal services.

You will be a senior member of a cross-functional squad, contributing to solution design and delivery while remaining hands-on and mentoring others to uphold engineering standards.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering background with experience delivering solutions across the full application development lifecycle.
• Proven experience designing, building and maintaining modern web applications with Angular or C#/.NET.
• Experience building and running applications in Azure cloud environments with focus on design, resilience and security.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test and operate Angular front-end and C#/.NET back-end services deployed in Azure.
• Contribute to technical design and impact assessments for changes to new and existing applications.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation to required standards.
• Apply engineering best practices including clean code, automated testing and observability.
• Mentor and support other engineers to foster a collaborative engineering culture.
