Job summary

Redgate's Foundry is the innovation incubator driving the next opportunities for Redgate. The role invites hypothesis-driven discovery, rapid prototyping, and direct customer validation to determine which ideas to evolve.

As a mid to senior engineer, you will join a small cross-functional team using C#, TypeScript, Python, and ML across desktop, web, API, and data platforms, balancing prototypes with customer interviews in a Cambridge hybrid setting.

Qualifications

• Proven experience using AI coding tools.
• Strong software design and coding skills across modern languages, particularly C#, TypeScript, or Python.
• Hands-on experience building agentic systems using LangGraph, Microsoft Agentic Framework, or MCP.
• Experience designing and running experiments to validate ideas quickly, using technical prototypes, customer feedback, and lean startup principles to test assumptions and make clear decisions.
• Comfortable engaging directly with customers and stakeholders: running interviews, demos, and concierge-style validation processes.

Responsibilities

• Work across the full arc of innovation—from horizon-scanning to early-stage research, rapid prototyping, and customer validation.
• Be part of a small cross-functional team (Tech Lead plus 4–6 engineers) with parallel projects.
• Contribute to experiments while exploring new directions using varied tech stack (C#, TypeScript, Python) across desktop, web, API, database and ML.
