Job summary

Moody's is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain secure, scalable software for our Corporates and Government engineering team.

You will own backend services, APIs, integrations, and platform capabilities while collaborating with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver high-impact features. Emphasis on AI-assisted tooling, secure practices, and production support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable software solutions for the Corporates and Government engineering team.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and operate backend services, APIs, integrations, and platform capabilities.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver high-impact product features.
• Contribute to technical design discussions and help shape pragmatic architecture decisions for assigned services and features.
• Maintain high standards for code quality, testing, documentation, performance, reliability, and security.
• Use AI-powered development tools responsibly to streamline engineering workflows and improve delivery quality.
• Support production systems through monitoring, troubleshooting, incident response, and continuous improvement.
• Mentor associate and software engineers through code review, pairing, debugging, and knowledge sharing.
