Job summary

Emerald Group in London is seeking a skilled .NET developer to design, develop, test, and deploy custom applications using Blazor and C#. You will work with architects, engineers and stakeholders to deliver scalable, robust software.

The role is hybrid, requiring on-site work three days per week at the London Office, with Azure Cloud Services and CI/CD practices integral to the workflow. Experience with Azure Functions, Azure SQL and Terraform is desirable to enhance performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• Extensive .NET development experience with C# in a commercial setting.
• Strong ASP.NET Core and EF Core knowledge with Blazor familiarity a plus.
• Proven experience in iterative development using DevOps practices (Azure DevOps, Git).
• Deep Azure Cloud Services expertise (Functions, SQL, App Service).
• CI/CD pipelines and IaC knowledge (Terraform) desirable.
• Insurance or reinsurance sector experience preferred.

Key responsibilities including however, not limited to the following:

• Design, develop, test, support and deployment of custom applications based on .NET (Blazor, C#).
• Collaboration with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to design efficient and scalable solutions
• Implementation of Azure Cloud Services and features that enhance application performance and reliability
• Develop and write high-quality coding standards

Please note this role is Hybrid working 3 days a week on site in the London Office

Experience required:

• Considerable industrial experience of development within the .NET environment using C#, preferably with experience in ASP.NET Core and Entity Framework Core
• Considerable and proven experience in iterative methodologies, using DevOps platforms such as Azure DevOps and Git
• Strong experience with Azure Cloud Services, e.g. Azure Functions, Azure SQL, and Azure App Service
• Experience with Blazor is a plus
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform is a plus
• Reinsurance or insurance sector experience preferable
